Blanca Nieve

Blanca Nieve was one of the first producers to partner with Gold Mountain Coffee Growers. She leads El Diamante, her farm in Jinotega, Nicaragua, with care, consistency, and deep commitment to her family. A grandmother and coffee producer, Blanca has built something steady and meaningful through her work, and from the beginning, her coffee stood out to us.

This lot, which we lovingly call The Reds, was the first coffee we purchased through Gold Mountain. At the time, we were still roasting at home and moving in much smaller volume. Buying coffee this way felt like a real step of faith for us. We were used to working through larger brokers, where things felt more familiar and predictable. Choosing this coffee meant trusting a new relationship, and Gold Mountain chose to trust us too.

Once we started roasting Blanca’s coffee, we knew it was not just another offering. It was the kind of coffee that helped define who we were becoming. Sweet, approachable, and full of character, The Reds became a foundation coffee for Fruits & Roots and a clear example of why relationships in coffee matter.
