The story

The search for espresso.

When we set out to create an espresso blend for our coffee cart, we knew Blanca's coffee had to be part of it. The Reds brings the right amount of acidity, along with a balanced mix of chocolate, red fruit, and sweetness.

The next question was what to pair with it. We wanted the finished espresso to feel approachable and well rounded, easy to enjoy on its own while still having enough body and flavor to stand up in milk.

We tested several coffees and roast combinations with our wholesale partners before landing on the right match. A rich Colombian added the chocolate, nutty, and woodsy notes we love in a darker espresso, without turning burnt, bitter, or ashy.

Together, the two coffees create an espresso that is sweet and full bodied, with notes of dark chocolate, a nutty woodsy middle and a cherry finish. It is bold enough for a latte, balanced enough for an Americano, and smooth enough to enjoy as a shot.

Add the coffee-specific sourcing, roast approach, and cup character here. This template uses the Baklava product layout as the standard while leaving room for each coffee to be edited cleanly.

FAQ

Common questions.

CAN'T FIND IT? Ask us anything

How fresh is my coffee when it arrives?

We roast multiple times a week, and ship within 3 business days of your order. Most US orders arrive 3-5 days. Peak flavor window for coffee is about 7-28 days after roasted. Please give your coffee at minimum 2 days after the roasted on date to rest, this allows for the gas to leave and the flavor to settle.

What grind should I pick if I'm not sure?

Whole bean if you have a grinder. If you do not grind at home, pick the brewer you use most. If your brewing method doesn't have a recommended grind size, feel free to reach out.

Is this espresso or filter?

Both. You can pull almost any coffee with any brew method. Some methods will be best suited for certain coffees. See the brew guide for our suggestions.
