We’re thrilled to offer this exceptional microlot coffee. The floral yet approachable coffee is a true gem, offering a smooth experience that’s both delicate and complex. Don't be misled by the flavor note, his isn’t an intensely bright, acidic brew. Instead, the flavors reveal themselves gradually. The first sip brings subtle green tea and soft jasmine, while the finish unfolds with notes of lilac and a creamy touch that’s reminiscent of caramel and marshmallow, though not overtly sweet. It’s a beautifully balanced coffee, perfect for those who enjoy a refined cup.

A discovery of Nicaragua
The story

A discovery of Nicaragua

There is nothing quite like this coffee. From the presentation of notes to the farm this micro lot has so much heart. Nicolas and Angela own El Porvenir a farm in Nicaragua that partners with Gold Mountain. They are beloved as sweet grandparents that are passing their farm down to their family.

We encounter this particular coffee on a cupping table at the World of Coffee Expo, and knew it would be a light roast that fit us well. Low acidity, smooth juicy notes and an inherent sweetness.

*This coffee is a limited drop, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. But don’t worry, a fresh African crop will take its place after harvest.

FAQ

Common questions.

CAN'T FIND IT? Ask us anything ->

How fresh is my coffee when it arrives?

We roast multiple times a week, and ship within 3 business days of your order. Most US orders arrive 3-5 days. Peak flavor window for coffee is about 7-28 days after roasted. Please give your coffee at minimum 2 days after the roasted on date to rest, this allows for the gas to leave and the flavor to settle.

What grind should I pick if I'm not sure?

Whole bean if you have a grinder. If you do not grind at home, pick the brewer you use most. If your brewing method doesn't have a recommended grind size, feel free to reach out.

Is this espresso or filter?

Both. You can pull almost any coffee with any brew method. Some methods will be best suited for certain coffees. See the brew guide for our suggestions.
